
...is happening in our house. Paris doesn't think that she is pretty enough. She wants to "do" her hair, wants to wear make up, sucks her tummy in, tries on different clothes before making up her mind! One school mum says wait until she's 9, it's just the beginning!! If there's ads on TV for shampoo, body lotion, razors etc, she stops and watches them! This has got me thinking, how do I nurture her self esteem? To help her realise that looks are not the most important? But not to put an emphasis on being trying to be pretty at the same time.

Shannon Fricke's blog and thought it was perfect. When the opportunity arose again, I sat down with her and said, do you know that "happy girls are the prettiest"? Well the girl with the big cheesy dimpled toothless grin took it on board!
