our pally patch...

Last year we had a sandy patch at the front of the garden. Now we have a vege patch. It took along time to evolve though, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out (even though I relaid the paving three times!) The silver beet has been the strongest producer, the rocket just took over and the beetroot was delicious!

this is where i've been...

I started this Tumblr blog because there are just so many great interiors out there. I love magazines but I cant afford to buy them all! This way I've created my own magazine without the ads or articles! Just pure bliss for me. When I look back over my archives I wish I could crawl in and live there!
When I started gingerella in January I also set up Statcounter (counts the number of hits on my sites) and I can tell you I am blown away by the number of visitors! Mostly America and Europe but I've even been to Russia and China!

Last week My Sweet Savannah and Sweet Old Vintage had done a post on their blogs about my blog. And here is the result....7,886 hits in nine days!!! Bringing my total hits up to 17,000 since January. At first I thought that there was something wrong with my counter then I almost slid of the couch in shock as I realised this was real! It gets me thinking, should I do something about this?

MY TIME WASTING...

...yes, I admit, I'm wasting sooo much time on this computer. I'm sitting here while the girls are at school and Levi sleeps. Looking at every one else's life that seems so much better than mine, thinking I should call that person, do that thing I've been meaning to do, clean the windows perhaps. But nahh I can't be bothered! But you know I'll regret it later don't you? If only I could knit this beautiful pair of socks while I blog!

MY DAY...

...I wish. Imagine waking up to this kitchen, fresh juice, yummy muesli and yogurt. Later, a bit of prep for a BBQ by the pool with friends. Then later in the day a nice antipasto plate with a drink from our own bar. Oh, aren't dreams wonderful?

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION...

This, I have decided, needs to be one of my new years resolutions.

IT'S ALMOST...

...that time of the year again. Most people have organised themselves by now but, no, not me! Which probably comes to a shock to most people, I just think next week, next week and low and behold it's almost here. I'm slowly and calmly going into a complete panic!

I've got two birthday parties to organise, Ella's 5th birthday will be a Pink theme at her request. She wants to have a few girls from kindy and have a tea party picnic on the grass. Which you think would be quite simple, pink cups, plates, napkins, pink iced cup cakes etc. But no, this girl wants a completely over the top magazine style spread!! (She's been reading Donna Hay Kids magazine) I'm working on toning down the expectations but she says I forgot because she has already "ordered" her party with me. I must have been saying ahah, ahah at the time not realising what I was getting into! It's also Levi's 1st birthday and I'm planning a big family gathering and I haven't started doing that yet either, so familys be prepared for a last minute invitation!

I'M BACK + A NEW LOOK

Well, their all in bed and Ian is almost asleep (again!) on the couch beside me, I've been playing around on the net looking at everyone else's blogs and creativity (again!) and not done anything about mine, you know, the grass is always greener....So I thought to post! and my my it has been awhile! So please accept my apologies. 

But scrolling back through my posts I've realised that this blog is getting more and more baby and girls pictures and this is not what I had set out to do. This blog was supposed to be about children, home and life. I promise you some pictures of home soon and the life part will hopefully come along (well that just seems to happen anyway) What's the saying? Life is a journey, not a destination. 

Also I wanted a change so I could show you larger pictures and maybe a new layout (this is how I drive Ian crazy, he hates me changing things!) I'll get there, eventually!
