did you know...

did you know he gets faster every day. He likes to jump off things, high as he can get things.

did you know that they weigh almost the same. At four years apart.

did you know that I'm off to New York in 5 weeks!! Let the countdown begin.

did you know I cut 30cm, yes 30, off her hair last night after dinner, with the kitchen scissors. Eeekk!!

down by the water...

...last weekend we went to Cottesloe for fish and chips. The girls wanted to go down to the waters edge and of course I'm going "don't get wet, it's too cold, blah, blah, blah" That of course didn't even reach their ears because they were off, all three of them, you guessed it, straight for the water. Having a husband for a photographer helps in these situations, I could never have done these shots. Ella had a lollipop in her mouth which I didn't see until too late because I was chasing Levi, who just keep running towards the water or up the beach!

This shot I love the best.

meet happy...

Happy came home from school last week with Ella. He has home stays with each child in the class through out the year. We had to fill a scrapbook page of photos with Ella and Happy and report back what she did. Ella could not stop smiling!

Happy went to the Farmers Market at school, we got as far as the playground.

They watched a movie together, Ella didn't leave him at all.

When Ella was at school he played with his new friends.

We all went to Cottesloe beach for fish and chips.

YAHOO!!

She loved having him stay for the week, there were lots of tears last night.

if I put it all together...

...this is what the girls room would look like!
Pink plastic, pink furniture, pink pillows, pink skirts, pink fairy dresses.
Now that I type the word pink, I think it's quite a strange word, no?

missy moo...

...missy moo is a sometimes used nickname, especially when we need to get going. Although the other week I could have changed that to firecracker. Because basically that's what she was. If something didn't go her way, the fuse was lit, she would make a whizzing sound followed by a loud explosion and oh my, you should have seen her coloured flames!

Looking at these photos it's hard to believe.
Playing superheros with her sister.
Quietly reading before bed.
She's got bumps on her knees and can beat the boys. Jumps high, dances loud, dresses up and loves rocking out on her guitar. All with a jump rope beat in her heart.

She is true love

HER LATEST FAVOURITE...

The dalmatians are Ella's favourite animals at the moment, well for the last couple of months anyway! They go everywhere with her, even to watch her at swimming lessons today!

HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Ahh, the last day of the year. Coming to the end of a year is sometimes a relief for me, but sad at the same time, time really does fly, doesn't it? What a busy time I've had, all about baby and children! I've been thinking about all those things that I had set out to do, not as New Years Resolutions, but just as things that I wanted to do. And alas, I now have other things that I want to do in 2010! Both girls are at school full time next year so I'll just have to stretch my legs a little further than home and school, oh I am so so excited!!

We wish you all a safe and very HAPPY NEW YEAR in 2010.

Week Ending

We managed to get a break in the weather for a bit of playground fun. Even though it was a bit chilly you can see that it didn't effect them!

A Day of Play

Just having a day at home playing around with Levi and also on the computer. The girls are both at school and the house is nice and quiet. I never get a chance to look at You Tube but today is the day and I have found some very funny things. In America they have launched a Fatherhood campaign and I thought to post this one. I can just visualise Ian's face instead of this guy's! Bring it on!

Colour Crazy

Isn't this colour crazy? Just needed a bit of colour to start the weekend. I would love to have these colours at home, the girls would love it but not too sure about Ian, I don't think he would cope!

On Safari

These animals are Ella's favourites. They are from Schleich, who have a fantastic range of animals. We play with them everyday, in the sandpit, the bath, in the sink, under the coffee table, these animals have been her mainstay out of all her toys, she always incorporates them into other games. She loves the baby animals the most, they all have "the mummy". I would love to build up the range to include the people, trees and plants then we would really be on safari!

Lovin' It

A couple pictures of her favourite things in life right now.

She can't wait for her weekly swimming lessons, loves to hang on the bar and chat with her class mates, still refuses to jump off the side to the instructor without saying "I need a finger, closer, I need a finger" and kicks along faster than the others. Just the other week she finally swam without the floaties, yeah progress!!

Eating cake. You cant see the crunchy topping this cupcake had at a family engagement party because she wouldn't show me!  You can see from her expression that it's too good to give up.

Tree Sitting

Do you remember climbing trees when you were young? These 3 are looking at the yard from above. It's not that high to us but for them, they think it's the top of the world. Would love this tree in our backyard to build a treehouse.
"Soooo high" says one with excitement in her voice. "Not that high, I'm not scared" says the other. Typical.
