we have been away again

this is from busselton last year. ian was doing a photo shoot at the house and we where lucky enough to stay the weekend. i always think, gee we don't go anywhere, now looking back over the blog it shows me that in fact i shouldn't complain! 

this is a fantastic home, it belongs to a big family and you can see photos all around of them having their holidays here. i'm hoping that we'll be back there soon. 

hamelin bay

i want to do something fun with the kids, said ian to me the last week. you want to go where? for a day trip? i replied, thinking has he not thought this through properly. i think 4 hours there 4 hours back, 3 kids, confined space, food, drinks, toilet stops, music selection, whinging about music selection, somebody squashing somebody else, are we there yet? blah blah blah.
well i braced myself for a bumpy ride but boy was i wrong! the trip went so smoothly that i am up for it again. hamelin bay was beautiful, we swam, dug holes and mucked around for quite some time. the trip back up to perth was very quiet. they tuned out, exhausted from sun, fresh air and sea salt.

our mini break to Rotto was to celebrate Pere's birthday. plenty of food, drinks and the very hard to get family snap shot!

rottnest in the storm...

we went to Rottnest Island in June to celebrate Pere's (Robert) birthday but just happened to have the biggest storm ever in Perth, we tried to stay dry but the kids still had fun!!

easter break continued, beautiful peaceful bay, walking, watching, drawing pictures in the sand.

a getaway from the city with extended family. freshly baked bread and hot coffee. bush walks, dips in the river and lots of chocolates!
