RE-INVENTING...

...the laundry. I've had a great day, pottering about doing the usual Saturday morning things, at a slow pace. Then while Levi was sleeping and the girls were watching a DVD I took the opportunity to get outside and finish what I started a couple of days ago. A general tidy up, bit of raking and weeding, potted some succulents for the outside table.
We have huge black spiders in and around our shed and I'm afraid to go in! So I called Pere to come over and kill them! Which he did, also bringing the garden blower and cleaned up the patio area! It looks sooo good that I think we'll have breakfast outside tomorrow. Thanks so much Pere!!
This image above is from Lonny magazine (have a look at this online magazine) I have had this picture in my mind for ages and of course after today's busyness outside, my laundry is, to put it simply, a mess. The organised clutter displayed on the open shelves, the lamp and seat. I'm dreaming of spending my time in there, strange thinking uh? I love the charm and organic feel of this room, do you?

Week Ending

We managed to get a break in the weather for a bit of playground fun. Even though it was a bit chilly you can see that it didn't effect them!

Where Have They Gone?

Have you noticed that the palm trees along the freeway in South Perth have disappeared? Mind you, maybe you noticed that I had disappeared!! Time has just flown by. Back to the trees, I don't know how long it's been since I last saw them, but loved to see them as I drove by. Ian pointed out to me that they had gone and we're quite sad not to see them anymore, so he searched for this picture he had taken about 4 years ago. Does anyone know their age and why they where cut down?

Tree Sitting

Do you remember climbing trees when you were young? These 3 are looking at the yard from above. It's not that high to us but for them, they think it's the top of the world. Would love this tree in our backyard to build a treehouse.
"Soooo high" says one with excitement in her voice. "Not that high, I'm not scared" says the other. Typical.
